Q: We have an outborn infant that was admitted to our hospital on Day 1 of life and had an exchange transfusion. Does the infant qualify?
A: No, home births do not qualify as “previously discharged home”. The infant MUST be discharged home from an “in-patient” setting and then readmitted in order to qualify.
