A. Unknown Response Choice
Q: Why is the Unknown response choice only available for certain items instead of all of them?
A: The Unknown choice is only offered for items that have a high probability of being unavailable, and the information is unattainable at the time of submitting a record, the item should be left blank. Items left blank are considered "pending" by the on-line system. It will remain with this status until you are able to update the record with the correct information at a later time. The on-line system has the capability to distinguish between pending items and confirmed Unknowns. Since the Vermont Oxford Network requires that all Unknown items be confirmed as unobtainable and truly unknown, the CPQCC Data Center only submits confirmed unknowns. You can also review your Confirmed Unknown Report on the www.cqpccdata.org website.
